Succesful VitaliMAY Month 2026 at SABA

Traditionally, the month of May at SABA is dedicated to vitality. This year, we once again look back on a successful VitaliMAY Month, during which we worked together to promote a healthy and energetic working environment. Through a diverse program focused on physical activity, mental well-being, and mindful choices, colleagues were encouraged to actively invest in their own vitality

Moving Together

Under the guidance of Atletico'73 colleagues headed to the athletics track in Gendringen for a running clinic. After focusing on running technique, participants took part in challenging exercises, including a relay race and a pyramid run. Through initiatives like these clinics, as well as the annual sports allowance, SABA encourages colleagues to stay physically active on a regular basis.

In addition, an intensive boo(s)tcamp was held on the field behind the warehouse, led by Boostcamp Achterhoek. Working in pairs, participants completed a combination of strength and cardio exercises. The training proved highly effective, something many could still feel in the days that followed.

Focus on Mental Well-Being

Vitality is about more than just physical activity. That is why attention was also given to mental well-being.

Through a series of workshops, colleagues explored topics that can be directly applied in everyday life and work. Revital hosted a session on work-life balance, a topic that resonates with many colleagues.

In addition, Kirk from Panda Training led a workshop on recognizing and communicating personal boundaries: what feels right, and how can you express this clearly and effectively?
Making Conscious Choices About Nutrition

Nutrition also plays an important role in overall vitality. This year, the focus was on encouraging more conscious food choices through the ‘food swap’ initiative. In an accessible and practical way, colleagues were challenged to reflect on their eating habits and, where possible, choose healthier alternatives.

Cycle to work week

Finally, this year Bike to Work Day was expanded into a full week. Colleagues were challenged to cycle as many kilometres as possible to and from work. Together, they covered an impressive 1,321 kilometres, raising €389 for charity.

On Bike to Work Day, colleagues who cycled to work received a festive welcome and had the opportunity to spin a prize wheel for a chance to win vitality-themed prizes.Harm Takke was also on site to provide free bicycle safety checks, helping to ensure a safe ride home.
