Proven adhesive strength: Sabatack® for loadlok systems

When you choose a loadlok system, you’ll want to know for sure that it’s firmly secured. At SABA, we understand this. That is why we produce adhesives that guarantee this. Tensile machine tests show that even under extreme conditions, our adhesive is stronger than the loadlok system or the material to which it is attached. In other words, a proven powerhouse!

Tensile machine tests adhesive strength

You should be able to rely on adhesive. This is why we pay great attention to developing the best adhesives for different substrates. We don’t market them until their adhesive strength meets our standards. To prove this, we regularly conduct tests on bonded products.

Using our adhesive, we attached several loadlok systems to typical sheet materials used in the transportation industry. We then tested the adhesive strength using a tensile machine capable of applying forces up to 25 kN. In all cases the loadlok system or sheet material broke off, while the adhesive bond remained intact. So our adhesive proved stronger than the loadlok system and sheet material. Now this truly is SABA’s super strength.

Systems, sheets, and products tested

We have bonded the five most popular loadlok systems on the market with three different sheet materials, namely:

Polypropylene honeycomb (fiberglass-reinforced exterior)
Foam (with GRP exterior)
Multiplex (with GRP exterior)

In these tests we used two of our adhesives: Sabatack® 780 and Sabatack® Fast.Before we bonded the loadlok system with the honeycomb sheet, we used our Cleaner 48 and Primer 4518 . For the other two panels, we used our Activator 9707 .
