Minority Stake
The transaction is not simply a financial investment. It represents the beginning of a closer strategic partnership in which SABA and OCSmaterials will combine their complementary strengths: SABA’s global market access, formulation expertise and application support in high-performance adhesives and sealants, and OCSmaterials’ specialized technology and product portfolio in Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs) and thermal management.
Together, the companies aim to accelerate their joint e-Bonding offering for mobility, battery, electronics and industrial applications. SABA will support the commercial development of OCSmaterials’ TIMs in Europe and North America, while OCSmaterials will support the growth of SABA’s adhesives and sealants in Asia. By coordinating application development, product training, customer qualification and go-to-market activities, the partners intend to create sustainable value for customers and grow together in the global market.
SABA: “Our minority investment in OCSmaterials is a clear expression of confidence in the company, its people and its technology. More importantly, it marks the start of a deeper strategic partnership. By combining OCSmaterials’ thermal management capabilities with SABA’s adhesives and sealants expertise, application know-how and international reach, we can accelerate innovation, support customers more effectively and build a strong position together in global growth markets,” said Villaume Kal, CEO, SABA Adhesives & Sealants.
OCSmaterials: “We welcome SABA as a strategic shareholder and long-term partner. This investment strengthens the foundation of our collaboration and brings together complementary technologies, market knowledge and customer access. We look forward to developing new opportunities jointly, expanding our international presence and growing together as trusted partners in the global thermal management and e-Bonding market,” said Sangwon Han, Chair, OCS Group.
The companies will continue to engage jointly with target OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers and will coordinate application development, product training and go-to-market activities. The financial details and other terms of the transaction will not be disclosed.
