What will your day look like?

As an HSE Officer, you will be engaged in gathering knowledge about HSE legislation and regulations and realise improvements in quality assurance. This requires good cooperation with both internal departments and external parties such as suppliers, knowledge centres and customers. In addition, you are engaged in:

  • Ensuring that SABA complies with all relevant product and transport related laws and regulations for all countries to which SABA exports.     
  • Monitoring external developments in HSE legislation and regulations and assessing the impact on products and business processes.                
  • Ensuring that SABA complies with laws and regulations regarding the storage and use of hazardous substances, such as compliance with environmental permits.
  • Answering queries and preparing statements for customers regarding HSE.

Is this job right for you?

We are looking for an independent HSE Officer. You are service-oriented and have problem-solving skills. In addition:

  • You will have an HBO (higher professional education) degree or WO (university bachelor’s) degree in chemistry, biology or health sciences.
  • You will have 5 years' work experience in a similar position, preferably in the (chemical) industry.
  • You will have good command of the Dutch and English language; German is an advantage. 
  • Do you enjoy working with suppliers, customers and knowledge institutes and using that to increase knowledge?
